Story of my life

Paintings

About 3 years ago I signed up for a paintingclass to learn a new style of drawing and a new medium to work with. Within three years I finished more than 20 paintings with different techniques.

My favourite pieces are those of my cats in funky colours using fingerpainting. Although my focus was mostly a realistic style I learned a lot about designing backgrounds and colours.

Crows

this painting started with a funky background with a palletknife. It was my first time using a pallet knife and I learned a lot. Next I filled in the darkest parts of the crows. When I was finished I liked the effect so much that I desides to go another way and gave them colourful feathers.

The funny story about this painting is that I accidently left it outside at my teachers house which made some of the paint crack. Later I gave these cracks more contrast by softly painting over them.

This is still one of my favourite pieces!
